The lilang orange (Citrus microcarpa), also known as the kasturi lime, contains key phytochemical compounds such as flavonoids (primarily hesperidin, naringin and rutoside), citric acid, and essential oils rich in limonene, linalool and α-terpineol in its peel. In addition, the fruit pulp contains vitamin C (ascorbic acid), vitamin A (beta-carotene), potassium, magnesium, calcium, pectin fibre, and several types of organic acids such as malic acid and succinic acid.
